1916 to 1947 US Silver half dollar coin ring. Designer Adolph A. Weinman Obverse - Lady Liberty walking and holding branches with United States flag over her shoulder and sun rising in lower left with "Liberty" above her head, the date below, and "In God We Trust" in the right field. Reverse - A bald eagle rising from a mountaintop perch. The back reads, "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "E PLURIBUS UNUM" (which means, "Out of many, one"), and "HALF DOLLAR." Mass 12.50 g Diameter 30.63 mm Thickness 1.8 mm Edge reeded Composition 90% silver 10% copper. Silver 0.36169 troy oz. Years of minting 1916–1947. There were no half dollars made 1922 1924 1925 1926 1930 1931 or 1932. Some years had low mintage, so the coin is more expensive to get. When possible, I try to use best coin I can uncirculated, proof, deep cameo. This is for 1 ring only. You may purchase more than one.

Whoever fraudulently alters, defaces, mutilates, impairs, diminishes, falsifies, scales, or lightens any of the coins coined at the mints of the United States, or any foreign coins which are by law made current or are in actual use or circulation as money within the United States; or Whoever fraudulently possesses, passes, utters, publishes, or sells, or attempts to pass, utter, publish, or sell, or brings into the United States, any such coin, knowing the same to be altered, defaced, mutilated, impaired, diminished, falsified, scaled, or lightened — Basically when you alter it, if it is not money anymore you're safe. If you change a quarter into a half dollar you are breaking the law.
