US Peace silver dollar coin ring 1921 to 1928 & 1934-35. Designed by Anthony de Francisci. The sculptor based the obverse design of Liberty on the features of his wife, Teresa de Francisci. The Peace dollar was approved by Treasury Secretary Andrew Mellon in December 1921. Its obverse represents the head and neck of the Goddess of Liberty in profile, and the reverse depicts a bald eagle at rest clutching an olive branch, with the legend "Peace" memorializing peace at the end of World War I. It was the last United States dollar coin to be struck for circulation in silver. The Peace dollar was released into circulation on January 3, 1922. In common with all silver and copper-nickel dollar coins struck from 1840 to 1978, the Peace dollar had a diameter of 1.5 inches (38.1 mm, 1.5 in.), which was larger than the Mint's subsequently struck modern dollar coins. Mass of 26.73 g composition 90% silver 10% copper (0.77344 troy oz silver). This coin is notorious for the detail not being as prominent as others. Coin was minted with dates 1921 to 1928 and 1934 to 1935. Dates 1921 and after 1926 are lower production, harder to find. Sizes below a 12 will have more of a curved wall look (Fat Tire look).

Add engraving to this ring for $10. I can do one name, something very short like "♥ u Curt", or one date. Also let me know where to engrave. Inside of the ring or outside of the ring. If you do not, the engraving will be on the inside. This will be very small because of ring size.

Whoever fraudulently alters, defaces, mutilates, impairs, diminishes, falsifies, scales, or lightens any of the coins coined at the mints of the United States, or any foreign coins which are by law made current or are in actual use or circulation as money within the United States; or Whoever fraudulently possesses, passes, utters, publishes, or sells, or attempts to pass, utter, publish, or sell, or brings into the United States, any such coin, knowing the same to be altered, defaced, mutilated, impaired, diminished, falsified, scaled, or lightened — Basically when you alter it if it is not money anymore you're safe. If you change a quarter into a half dollar you are breaking the law.

My parents' birth year ring makes for an excellent commemorative. My father collects coins and has tried the "beat the coin edge with a spoon" method. However, this produced a much more aesthetic ring with greater detail not to mention the size is spot-on.

Finally got to wear the ring for a bit. I love the finish on it and the size came out perfect, showing the detail I was hoping it would. I am impressed with how quickly it came.
