New York City Subway Token Coin Ring - "Large Y" Token used 1970 to 1980 Mintage 50 million. The large Y cutout NYC token. Made of solid brass, these became a well-known symbol of the bustling underground transit subway system known as the MTA. It was designed by Louis A. Schineller, a NYCT employee with a background in graphic design. Just after midnight on April 13th, 2003. These symbolic tokens were phased out. The subways’ renowned token is now a cherished memento of the ever-changing image of the Big Apple. I use re-polished authentic MTA tokens to create unique collectible jewelry. Finished ring width is around 4.5mm wide for size 8 and around 5mm wide for a size 5.
Because this is made from brass the ring may have a reaction to skin. Some clear fingernail polish on the inside will help with that. Also avoid getting hand wet while wearing ring. This is for 1 ring only. You may purchase more than one.
Add engraving to this ring for $10. I can do one name, something very short like "♥ u Curt", or one date. Also let me know where to engrave. Inside of the ring or outside of the ring. If you do not, the engraving will be on the inside. This will be very small because of ring size.

If you change a quarter into a half dollar you are breaking the law.
